Ascribe to God

This Sunday is a Hymn Sing. We will be making joyful noises to the Lord. A hymn-sing is a service focused on the hymns and songs of our faith. These might include old favorites and newly-composed hymns, traditional, contemporary, and everything in between.

Our God is ever doing a new thing and inviting us to participate in divine doings through rejoicing and action.

Belief and knowledge are partners in the Christian life. Belief leads us to pursue questions that deepen our knowledge, and knowledge informs the shape and character of our belief. Growing in belief and knowledge is part of living our faith.

The un-changingness of God throughout Christian history is found in God’s love, which never fails.

We are a mystery to ourselves, even as we enter into the mystery of God! We joyfully enter these mysteries through the holy song of Psalm 139.

Many of us would prefer not to be scared witless by the glory of God as Isaiah is in chapter 6. But, since we believe that God is ever-present, so our worship helps us learning to recognize God’s presence among us!
